Though I turned away with shame,
Her glance always caught mine.

Eyes glaring with tamed ferocity
As I made my best attempt to deny her existence.

That didn’t stop her from calling.
‘Til one day the glass shattered.

There was no sense in fleeing, then.
She stepped out of the fractured mirror.

I never imagined her so lovely.
